The Emery Awards, hosted by Andy Cohen, will honor individuals and corporations that exemplify HMI’s mission of providing a safe and supportive environment for all young people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This year’s honorees include Chelsea Clinton, Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation; Super Bowl Champion, Brendon Ayanbadejo; Fallon Fox who is the first openly transgender athlete in Mixed Marshal Arts (MMA) history; Founder and Director of Athlete Ally, Hudson Taylor, among many others. Best-selling author, David Mixner will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as a human rights advocate.
The Hetrick-Martin Institute believes all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential. Hetrick-Martin creates this environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth between the ages of 13 and 24 and their families.
