Since opening on Broadway on April 4, 2013, Kinky Boots quickly became Broadway’s newest smash hit and has gone on to win Tony, Grammy, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Awards.

Including: Kinky Boots’ Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Cyndi Lauper, Tony Award-winning book writer Harvey Fierstein, Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, and the cast of Kinky Boots, including Tony Award-winner Billy Porter, Andy Kelso, and Jeanna de Waal.

Bar Naná, an intimate bar “Inspired by both Emile Zola’s classic Nana and the legendary brothel in Punta Del Este known simply as Casa de Naná”, will be launching a new Monday night event called Cabaret on the Rocks.

BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE at the 21st Original GLBT Expo 2014!

Neal B., producer of Broadway Sings for Pride & www.NealB.tv, will present an hour long sampling of New York’s theatre’s talent and music at the 21st Original GLBT Expo on Saturday March 22, 2014 (2:00pm-3:00pm) and Sunday March 23, 2014(1:45pm-3:00pm). This will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Expect to hear musical selections from Broadway standards to pop hits! The segment entitled Broadway Sings for Pride will feature national tour, and recording artists who support the LGBT community.

For the second year in a row Broadway Sings for Pride (www.Broadway Sings for Pride) performed at Couture Fashion Week!  The “Mon Amour” fashion collection will be shown amid the dazzling list of Broadway and New York theater performers from the non for profit organization BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE (www.BroadwaySingsforPride.com).

The Musical Celebration of Broadway brings together 500 of New York City’s most influential arts supporters, celebrities, and luminaries for a black-tie evening of cocktails, dinner, and the acclaimed, unforgettable musical revue that is the signature of this event. Featuring dozens of stars from film, television and theatre, the Musical Celebration of Broadway, directed by Tony® Award winner Michael Mayer and Johanna McKeon, will highlight songs from Mr. Harris’ musical theater triumphs in shows that include Rent, Assassins, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, among others. Mr. Mayer and Ms. McKeon are alumni of The Drama League Directors Project. The evening’s one-of-a-kind all-star tribute, hosted by Emmy®, Grammy, Oscar and Tony® Award winner, Whoopi Goldberg, is co-produced by Roger T. Danforth and Trevor Tamashiro. Amy Eller and Ellen Fox are the Gala Co-Chairpersons.

The black-tie gala supports The Drama League’s educational initiatives for promising young artists.

Broadway Sings Heads 16th Annual Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival Closing Night

For the second year in a role, Broadway cast members from Jersey Boys, The Lion King, etc and non for profit group Broadway Sings for Pride alum (www.BroadwaySingsforPride.com) will headline the closing night of the 16th Annual Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on the evening of Monday, November 11, 2013.

Broadway Sings for Pride alum scheduled to appear: Russell Fischer (Broadway’s Jersey Boys), Chondra L. Profit (Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway), Matt Leisy (Off Broadway’s The Fantasticks), Rachel Lorin (pop singer recording artist and star of the Oxygen Networks “The Next Big Thing”), and Noreen Crayton (Gospel recording artist, Rent National Tour).
